Vienna - Day 2 and Welcome Dinner

We walk around  Vienna during the day.  Lunch is a disaster when the kitchen loses our order and our waiter doesn't care. We take pictures of Vienna and St. Stephan's Cathedral.

We must rendezvous with a bus at the Grand Hotel Wien for a short ride to a restaurant for a welcome dinner hosted by Chef Jacques (from Northern Virginia restaurant), Klaus (US importer of Austrian wines) and Roland Steindorfer (Austrian winemaker) and his father. Roland makes a killer desert wine.  We know, we've had two in the last six months at home.

The fish course is excellent.  The Tafelspitz not nearly as compete as last evening (no soup and no marrow) and the meat not as good..

Roland's wines save the evening.
