For the record, omelets with Hungarian paprika sausage are wonderful and Hungarian scrambled eggs are divine.
A personable young fellow drives us to the airport. During the ride he gives us the true picture of the hard life in Hungary living under a virtual dictator. It's a country where the Prime Minister's poor neighbors have risen to great wealth on the backs of everyday Hungarians who cannot afford lodging in Budapest. The fare is 3000 Forints. Since we're leaving the country, we give him 12,000. Color him happy. What little remains allows us to split a meal on the train and each have a drink.
We're off for Vienna on a return Railjet. We believe we're on the same train we came down on. For sure, we're in the same seats and CJ's seat is still broken.
A Tauck representative is waiting at the rail station and carries us to the Vienna Marriott. It has a great location across the street from Stadt-park, their version of Central Park.
We've upgraded to a suite and it's stellar. We have one and half baths, a large dining /conference room, living room, bedroom and bath with large shower. Our room is larger than our current house.
For our first Viennese dinner, we snack and drink in the lounge.
