Krems, Durnstein, Weissenkirchen and the Wachau Valley wine country - Part 1

The boat will make it to three ports today and by the end of the day, we'll be as exhausted as the docking crew. First it will make port in Krems where excursions to Grafenegg Castle and Gottweig Abbey will depart. During breakfast, we'll get a good view of the abbey perched on its hilltop. We are getting off in Krems. Our bus will chase the ship to Durnstein.
Realizing we'll be chasing the boat to its next stop, we capture a quick look at Krems.

Grafenegg might be the most interesting castle to date. It has a dry moat, multiple architectural styles and a stunning chapel.

Its a short bus climb to the abbey. This is a working abbey. It takes a special person to commit to the life of a monk.
