Prague by Night

After our tour we take our first meal in the Czech Republic. This dish is the most traditional item on the menu.  It's delicious, even if we can't pronounce it. It's a dumpling and type of pot roast with a blackberry jam in a marvelous gravy.

The plan is to take a short photo walk.  Our tour has shown us that our hotel in marvelously centrally located and is only a short walk to Old Town Square. A block from the hotel in a square surrounded by two malls and other stores is a holiday market. We pause to listen to music.
We pass through two small enclosed areas with bars, restaurants and music on the way to Old Town Square.

It's too early for sunset pictures when we arrive in the square and the wrong time to observe the show of the astronomical clock.  There is a string trio playing in the square.
We walk to the river where it is still too early.  We actually sit on a bench and wait for the sun to go down.  Imagine that!
We make it back to Old Town Square in time to observe the top of the hour "show" put on by the astronomical clock.  It isn't much of a show.

In the first small "neighborhood" off Old Town Square, we take an outside table and have a drink while listening to jazz.  The music demands a second drink.

Our return to the hotel is interrupted by a Teelings Barrel out side of the Dubliner bar.  This time we have a drink at an outdoor table while listening to rock music.
