Saint Meloir des Ondes

We've relocated to a small village near Cancale, Saint Malo and Le Mont Saint Michel.  We are spending a wonderful week (without Internet) walking into the village for restaurants and the supermarket. On our first visit, we stayed at a hotel in Saint Malo, the Poirson family stayed in the little house on the left and the main house was a gutted frame.  On one afternoon, CJ and Didier foolishly walked the attic beams with nothing below.

It is now a marvelously remodeled home.  In 2006, we visited with two other couples from the US.

Less than 200 steps up the road, CJ sits on a small park bench and can look across the Bay of Le Mont Saint Michel and view the abbey.
This is our first opportunity to explore the city
The village has a huge church for the size of the village.
At one of the restaurants in the village, we find them to be more than a creperie.  The huge open fire place is not for show.  It's for cooking huge slabs of beef.
