Saint Malo - The Citadel
Saint Malo was built as a sea coast fortress town to defend their wealthy pirates (The Corsairs) from enemies; mostly the British and Dutch. Although it was destroyed by Allied bombing and Patton's shelling in World War II, it was rebuilt and is gorgeous.
This was our fourth or fifth occasion to walk its walls; something that never grows old. What must it be like to work, attend school, or live in this magical place?
