Finally - A Quiet Week

This is the kind of week we anticipated  when we came on vacation to Adelaide.  The occasional stroll into town for a shopping event, short walks to gather up a newspaper, and trips to the physio.

Weather has been a challenge also. Monday we peaked over 101°F, Tuesday at over 103°F and Wednesday began over 100°F but fell steadily throughout the day until it fell into the seventies by mid-afternoon.  CJ was hobbled with a groin pull. Carol reported conditions were fantastic on her short walk to the shopping district.

We realize that we've been having a lot of meals in the apartment and not enjoying new or familiar restaurants.
On the way into town one day we stop at the burger restaurant for lunch.  On another day, CJ takes a circuitous route to a golf shop on his return from physio.  He ends up on the other end of town and calls Carol to join him at the Central Market and Chinatown for lunch.
One part of the week we did not anticipate was on early Sunday morning. While we slept, at the convenience store we frequent to purchase the daily paper a group of ten drunks got into it with a group of five lager louts.  One ended up beaten to death.  We look down on the place from our patio.

One thing we are enjoying this week are outdoor meals on the patio and gorgeous sunsets over the Gulf. The pictures are from different evenings.
