Big Bash - Adelaide Strikers Game 1

Louie Mullins was supposed to be CJ's mate for this opening Big Bash match.  He buggered his return reservations from New York and had to pull out. CJ's mate Dave joins. We are in line 45 minutes before the gates open.

We make a beeline to the Bodyline Bar.  We are the first two blokes through the door. For the third time since it's debut earlier in the month, CJ is in the same prime seat.
They should put a plaque on it. He's probably the only SACA member to have been in the Bodyline three times and is most certainly the only US citizen.

There is a two hour wait before the match start. Twenty20 pokes fun at itself and seeks to entertain the fans.

The time is spent nursing beers and watching the warm-ups.Twenty20 cricket is as much entertainment as it is sport.  An hour before the match the field fills with pre-school cricketers. The Indian Premier League is even more entertaining.  There it is the game of cricket merged with Bollywood. Twenty20 has cheerleaders.
The Strikers put on a pitiful batting performance.  We are certain they are doomed unless their bowlers pull of a miracle; and a miracle is precisely what they pull off.
We expected the big Sydney bats led by Shane Watson to overcome the Strikers pitiful run total well within their twenty overs. Sydney begins to bat and wickets immediately start falling like leaves from fall trees. Adelaide bowls them out.  Rarely are teams bowled out in the Twenty20 form of cricket. Adelaide bowls the out and does it quickly.
Since both the men's and women's Sticker's teams live in our apartment building, this will make riding the elevators much more comfortable.
