Yangarra Winery

An Uber delivers us to Yangarra Winery. The B&B is on the west side of the McLaren Vale wine region. The winery is on the northeast corner of the region, the far far northeast corner.

As the ride continues on and on, CJ wonders if the winery is actually located in McLaren Vale. We come here because as the winery of highest elevation in MCV, they are perfecting Rhone style wines and our wine education is French: primarily Rhone and Bordeaux.

The Yangarra cellar door is located on a small lake. There is a charge for the tasting. There are two tastings and we do both, and then some. By the time we've completed the tasting and purchased their most excellent wine, we've significantly drained our bank account.
We have difficulty getting an Uber. Having just become what is likely their best "walk in" customers ever, their Marketing Director offers us a ride to our lunch restaurant.
