Lunch at the Salopian Inn

On our second day in McLaren Vale we lunched at the Salopian Inn.  It's claims to fame are locally sourced food, excellent preparation, an amazing wine cellar and an even more amazing gin selection.

The Salopian Inn has an incredible wine cellar that patrons are free to wander. There is a huge gin cellar in a room off the wine cellar.

We selected the prix fixe menu where the restaurant selects the courses. Lunch begins with a picturesque kingfish course.
Next up a dumpling.

This is kitchen spring vegetables over beetroot, quark, pepitas and charred lemon salsa. T
The main was a whole white fish.
And if that wasn't enough, an amazing chocolate log and scrumptious sorbet.
An excellent lunch; as usual for the Salopian.
