After spending the morning watching Phil work in the winery, he decided on a break for lunch. With Lauren in tow, we popped into the recently remodeled Chalk Hill Winery restaurant and gin bar.
Chalk Hill just this week has been awarded best wine in McLaren Vale for 2020. We have a bottle with lunch.
We have reservations for Friday lunch at one of the best pizza places in McLaren Vale; at least it was until Chalk Hill redid their menu. These pizzas are spectacular, particularly the garlic one.
Bloody hell this stuff was excellent! This pizza is possibly even better than Russell's.
We have a delightful late lunch with Phil and Lauren. After lunch they give us a live back to the B&B. We give them a tour in case they have visitors they need to put up.
