The Move to Tomsey

For the last three years we've taken an apartment in a great location in the Adelaide Central Business District. It was considered a moderately upscale property and served us well the past two visits and the first half of this one.

This year with many properties including the giant Intercontinental across the street closing hotels are doing it tough. Our building is making do by working with the local government. Suddenly we were infested with shoeless aboriginals and homeless people at a time of peak virus and two of three hotel elevators out of commission. We were living in fear for our health.

One afternoon, sitting enjoying lunch on our balcony we simultaneously blurted out that there is nowhere we are more comfortable than in Adelaide. We resolved to try to beat the Australian visa system and work to spend much more time in Oz.

We know our former home in Adelaide is available so we contract to move back into it and risk the expense of furnishing the unfurnished place betting we'll be able to spend good parts of the coming years in Adelaide.
Now we must begin the process of furnishing the place.
