Final days in the apartment - Final excitement

In addition to shoeless homeless and bathless people riding the elevators with us, we recently had the peace disturbed by a couple shouting and screaming at each other. One evening we found the woman lying on the floor of our lobby with another couple assisting her. It wasn't the first time and within a week, they had been kicked out of the hotel. Life returned to normal; at least on our floor.

The last weekend of our residency, CJ was awakened at 3am but banging against the bedroom wall. From that time until 7am, there were children crying, banging noises and a bit of screaming.

At 5 pm that evening we were visited by the police (car shown below). It appears the state had placed a woman and her two children under a protective custody order in the adjacent room. The idiot woman then invited her abusing mate back to live with her. In the evening he lost the plot.
Talking with the staff and maintenance man the next day, we discovered that the room had been completely trashed (hotel had never seen such damage), there was blood everywhere, and when the maintenance guy moved the sofa from standing vertically against our bedroom wall, heroin, ice, and meth fell out in the presence of the police. We can't get out soon enough!

The next day CJ takes lunch at Hindley Street Dumplings. The first time he had the hot and sour dumpling soup, it looked like the picture and was spicy. Then they closed for COVID. Now reopened, they lost the plot on the recipe. CJ complained and the manager got the chef righted about.

Now this looks better.  Hot and sour dumpling soup spiced up with chili paste.
In our last couple of evenings, we treated to very nice skies. The first is a near full moon and Venus just below in about the seven o'clock position.

We bid adieu to North Terrace, the sound of trams running past, and views of Adelaide Oval and North Adelaide.
