CJ read about this new Hutt St. (our old neighborhood in Adelaide) restaurant in the Adelaide paper on line. He was psyched. When Bronwyn and Neil scheduled dinner, this was the place they picked. Bless them! and a blessing it was.
The ladies selected Sashimi, a plate of salmon, kingfish, truffle soy, wasabi puree, pickled beetroot (in Australia, of course) and micro shisho; Gyoza, wagu beef dumplings in a chili ponzu sauce, Peking Duck Bao with cucumber, spring onion, hoisin sauce, and a spicy mayo; Crispy Chicken with spicy chili and tomato sauce; Baby Carrots with tom yum hummas and beatroot foam and a Tuna Tartare. CJ's contribution, if you can believe he picked a vegetable, was eggplant in Guiness batter and Sichuan caramel. It just sounded too bloody good.
The place was heavenly. 8 shared plates. 8 plates of ecstacy. Best Chinese restaurant EVER! That's the list!
