Adelaide Zoo - Part 1

It does not seem possible that in the three years we lived in Adelaide and in the nearly year of vacations we spent here we never visited the Adelaide Zoo until now. We have joined as members since by a third visit, the membership is paid; and it includes the Minardo Zoo and other facilities. We intend to visit Minardo where they have just had a baby rhino born.

Obe-wan orangatan was a hoot. It came down the hill with this sheet over it looking like a creature from Star Wars. It threw it off, climbed a set of stairs and tried to get the attention of an attendant. When it failed, it walked back up the hill, putting the sheet back on.

The tiger is magnificent.
There is an enclosure with a male and a female lion. We were treated when the male woke and walked about.
Can't recall what this is.
Very pretty birds but some are from South America.
These fellows were running along an overhead raceway. The one in the front has a baby on its back.
Isn't he just the cutest?
And the star of the show are the two Giant Pandas.
