North By Northwest & More Big Bash

It's an unseasonably cold morning; 59F.  After biking to Pilates, CJ bikes through the West Parklands and back to the Adelaide Showground.  After spending the rest of the day working on reservations for our return trip and working on accounts, we eventually depart for dinner and the theater.

We join Neil and Bronwyn for dinner at Malt Shovel Taphouse, the new craft bar and kitchen below the Adelaide Festival Centre.

It's a short walk to the Festival Theatre within the Festival Centre complex to view Hitchcock's North by Northwest. Imagine trying to portray that movie on a stage.  CJ could not overcome his curiosity so here we are. It is one clever production and well played.

The evening wonders of the River Torrens are on display as we walk home. The Footbridge, the Oval and the Riverwalk are always lit up.

On the very hot but dry following day we rendezvous at the ACM for a lunch of dim sum before an appointment to view another apartment in our building for next year's visit.

Given the weather it would be more appropriate if we were playing the Perth Scorchers this evening rather than the Melbourne Stars. SACA is warning match attendees to take precautions in the heat.
Before game time the temperatures are 99°F or 37°C.  CJ will arrive when the gates open at 4pm to get us seats in the airconditioned Bodyline Bar.  Carol will arrive closer to match time of 6:30.
