New Years Day or CJ's Birthday

Another day, another year older.  New Year's Day is quiet in the CBD.  We take in the movie, Cold War. Spoiler alert, it's not a spy thriller about the Cold War.  It's a good, if not very strange movie filmed in various languages, mostly Polish, with English subtitles.

CJ's birthday lunch was conducted at the Belgium Beer Bar.
We walk part way home. We are surprised by the number of shops that are open on Rundle Mall on New Years Day. We find this Christmas decoration in one of the side malls.
We miss our tram stop (driver leaves station before we can get from seats to the door).  Not sure why the big hurry.  At the end of this line at the Royal Adelaide Hospital a man in a hospital gown with electrodes still attached jumps on the train.  The tram conductor calls authorities but nonetheless, the tram departs with him still onboard.

We share bubbly and a cheese/meat platter for New Years dinner while watching cricket, Federer vs Sarena in mixed doubles, and a show on the Northern Lights. During the evening the Adelaide Oval sports a new light profile.
