Singita First Day - The Morning

Wake up is at 0530 with game drive departure shortly after six, Coming across a large herd of Cape Buffalo we slowly and unobtrusively drive into the middle of them. Check out the birds that clean their backs.
A lonely warthog is tracked to a picturesque pond where its joined by a bird for a drink.
As with the afternoon drive, there is a morning stretch and coffee break.  Today is a cold morning so we're rugged up. Ponchos are provided in your room and this morning we need them.  There is also a blanket and hot water bottle in the vehicle.
A large hippo resides in a nearby pond.  This morning she's hosting a couple of terrapins.
At breakfast a monkey swoops down and takes CJ's muffin inches from where he's taking pictures of baboons.

During the morning we spend some time in the pool while watching the many animals that pass by including giraffe, baboons, elephants and various form of antelope.
These monkeys are on our roof!
Carol enjoys a read in our living room in the few spare minutes available.
