Singita Boulders, Sabi Sand, South Africa

This is quite a resort to be found in the middle of the bush. Our room could be the largest ever; even bigger than the Mandarin Oriental in Singapore. This blog entry might be a bit boring and have way too many pictures but this place is truly one of a kind. Bronwyn has saved the best for last!

The beautifully landscaped entrance sets the tone for the property.
Between orientation and our room, we pass through the bar and meeting area, the wine cellar whose original boulders inspire the name of the property, the dining room, alternate outdoor dining area and pool.

CJ would just as soon they add a kitchen, turn it into a condo and let him buy it; wow it is just that spectacular.

It is built with the roof at the same level as the approach walk.  One descends steps to the entrance.
The room is on a single level with a glass wall and deck spanning the length of the room.  It overlooks the bush and has a small heated pool and outdoor shower in addition to the indoor shower. The first picture is the sitting room and lounging area.
The next three pictures look from the sitting area toward the entrance and bedroom. The minibar is just off the entrance and is totally complimentary, a half bath is on the other side of the entrance area. The fourth picture is of the wall décor of the half bath.

An extra large king bed with mosquito netting sits in a large room with the work desk.  Hard to get work done when the view is spectacular and normally occupied by animals including herds of elephants.

The bathroom has dual wash basins, a large closet, make-up table, and shower.  A door leads to the pool and outdoor shower.

The patio runs the length of the room and begins at one end with a pool shower, heated pool, loungers, chairs and more artwork in the form of a chair. Doors must be kept closed and passed through briskly to keep out destructive monkeys and salamanders.
