&Beyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp

Now this is a mighty fine camp.

Our tent is spacious if not a bit weird.  The room has a large king-plus bed, morning coffee/tea pass through and deck with lounging area and table with two chairs; good for computer time on the Mara. The toilet room and the shower stall are open to the outside.  Although you're likely to have privacy, if you are terribly modest, one can lower the tent flap across the room which is a pain in the butt.

The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming.  We had a minor screw up with our room which was quickly rectified.  The original tent partially faced another one.  By the time our Australian agent, Wildlife Safari's and Kichwa got their act together, they realized that we had the same reservation as Bronwyn and Neil and moved us to the one next to them. Our tent now sits on the property boundary overlooking the Mara and in the distance the airstrip of our arrival.
A strange attribute of these tents is that you can lock the door from the inside but it cannot be locked when you leave. Thankfully there is an ample safe.

The dining, lounge, reception and pool facilities fit into the décor of the property.
