Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon with Genelle

We have 2 days before our flight to Winnipeg. Arriving at the airport we are treated to a good view of majestic Mount Rainer. First Fuji and now Rainer. We have a good year going.

Our first day is a recovery day in the hotel and a trip to the mall to shop and have dinner. It rains most of the day. It has been a long time since we have been able to enjoy the beauty of fall maple trees.

Earlier this year we met Genelle on our trip to the Land of the Incas. We have taken her up on her invitation to go tasting with her. There is a village outside of Seattle where the Columbia Valley wine producers have established cellar doors.

We are off to taste at two of her favorites: Long Shadows and Delille.

The Pirouette was particularly tasty. We purchased two bottles.

In the 'it's a small world' category, while we are at Long Shadows, a couple comes up to us. It is Katherine and Fred. We met them the week before we met Genelle on the Galapagos cruise. What are the odds of that happening?
