Steam Ranger Cockle Train - The Scenery

The train ride runs from Goolwa to Victor Harbor. Victor Harbor and Goolwa are on the coast, south of Adelaide. On the map, the Yorke Peninsula is in the upper left. Kangaroo Island is on the lower left. From right to left on the lower coast of the Fleurieu Peninsula are Victor Harbor, Goolwa, Clayton, and Lake Alexandrina.

Most of the ride is along the coast.

On the return, the train is more crowded and with a number of children being school holidays, a lot more noisy. The train passes a city park along the coast before off to the country.

The train runs along the coast over gullies, small rivers, and access walks.
