Kata Tjuta

Kata Tjuta means 'many heads'. It is located 30 miles from Uluru although it seems closer. It is a sacred Anangu men's site although one gorge, Valley of the Winds, is open for touring.

The park service is performing maintenance on the platform at the top of the hike so our hike stops at this point, still a long, healthy climb.
Carol's foot did not allow her to make the long hike over rock. We gather her up on the return walk. She is off playing in the flowers.
After the Valley of the Winds hike, we stop at the overlook to get unobstructed views of Kata Tjuta and, in the distance, Uluru.
