Adelaide has bike lanes everywhere. CJ bikes from the east side to the west side twice a week to physical therapy. Pictured is a place where bikes need to also turn right. The road is marked with bike symbols and painted green in a dedicated stop ahead of the vehicle stop line.
Parking is on the left, the bike lane in the middle, the two lanes of vehicle traffic on the right. In another part of the city on Frome Street, there is a dedicated bike lane. It is separated from vehicular traffic by a barrier, usually planted with flowers or trees; and sometimes with parking spaces. In the pictures below, the sidewalk is on the left, the dedicated bike lane is straight ahead, and the barrier/parking/roadway is on the right.
