The Vatican of Cricket

Today we visit the home of cricket, Lord's Cricket Ground.  We'll spend the day with a group of Aussies in and amongst 35,000 Poms. During the day we'll enjoy a day of Australia beating up on England to go up 2-0 in the five game series, camaraderie with Aussie cricket fans, threatening skies, and game day food and beer.
During the match, CJ will visit the MCC Museum to view the tiny Ashes trophy; quite likely the smallest trophy in all of major sports. We'll walk to the tube through quintessential London mist.  It will delay the start of the match for an hour.  The day will be dominated by typical London overcast skies, yet the teams will persevere throughout the afternoon.

During the innings break, CJ once again visits the Lord's shop and the museum featuring the Ashes urn.  It is unbelievably tiny.
With some degree of boredom setting in a controversial appeal in Australia's favor ignites both the 35,000 plus Poms to a chorus of prolonged booting and the small Aussie crowd of about 40 to attempt to counter it.
With the outcome decided, we'll beat the crowds to the tube for a relatively painless return to Westminster where we'll take the first clear sky sunlight pictures of Parliament and Big Ben after three tries.

The evening will be spent in the bar of our hotel enjoying drinks and dinner.
