The British Airways lounge at Dulles Airport is a beautiful physical facility, has reasonable munchies and wine, and has a full bar with one of the greatest bartenders, Jerry. He keeps you in stitches while keeping you plied with bubbly or your choice of cocktail. On our last visit we were the judges for his latest concoctions. When CJ saw him sitting talking with customers as we arrived, he walked past and told him to "get back to work".
When he saw Carol taking a picture of CJ with his glass of bubbly, he insisted the photo could be improved. He returned with a new glass of bubbly; this time in a pilsner beer glass.
We swap travel stories with a retired couple from Seattle.
Between them and Jerry four hours in the lounge pass quickly and we're soon off on our seven hour Airbus 380 flight to London. Dinner, with one or two hours sleep and a descent flight later we arrive exhausted at Heathrow.
