Oslo Day 2

At breakfast we discover we have Lindblad commitments today. At the hospitality desk, we’re told we must take another PCR test today. We are also informed that they have received the one we took before leaving the US and all is well.

We decide to walk to the “Munch”, the art museum recommended by Bronwyn and dedicated to the works of Edvard Munch. It was relocated to a modern building on the waterfront in 2021.

He is most known for a painting called “The Scream”. The museum has three versions which they rotate each hour.

The building looks down on the Oslo Opera House the home of the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet. It is a huge building containing 1100 rooms and occupies 49,000 m2 (530.000 ft2). Its most striking feature is the pedestrian ramp from street level to the roof.

In the evening we have the initial Lindblad meet and greet and dinner.
