Easter Monday in Oslo

Easter Monday in Oslo is like most Sundays in Europe except that far more stores are closed. We begin the day by nearly missing the marvelous brekkie. Not only do we sleep in, but CJ's phone is still on UK time so when we arrive at breakfast thinking we still have 50 minutes, breakfast is over. They make an exception and keep open for us and another fellow hard on our heels.

We take a brisk late morning walk. The first stop is at Oslo Cathedral. It has beautiful ceilings. Presumably for the holiday, a fellow is performing a violin concert. We suspect he is accompanied by an unseen organ player (not playing on the huge pipe organ).

We walk the pedestrian mall in the to the foot of the Royal Palace before returning for more layers. We expected temperatures in the 60's. We were walking in 50 degrees wind chill. This sculpture of a biker in the main square must represent what happens to a biker who bikes in the dead of winter: they turn into stone.

Marvelous buildings surround the square that include the Royal Palace, Parlianment, and National Theater.
This car place is not open on the holiday but what are these cars?
