New Years Fireworks from Australia

At 9pm, Adelaide lights off six minutes of children's fireworks.  From our 15th floor apartment less than two blocks from the fireworks barges, it sounded like someone unleased Armageddon. The sound was loud and intense.  It sounded like six minutes of finale. Guess we've never been at about the same altitude as the bursting shells.

At 11:30pm local time, the Sydney fireworks lit off.  Enjoy the images, CJ made a video of TV of the entire event.

As we were attempting to doze off, Adelaide rang in the New Year with the primary fireworks show.  The sound level was muffled by the closed patio doors and insulated curtains. Pictures are courtesy of the local newspaper website. Our apartment is a block from the fireworks barges.
