Good Snow, Bad Light

We wake to a winter wonderland.

 

The crew is moving slowly this morning after the hard drives to the mountain yesterday. Following a good breakfast in the condo, we finally get organized for the slopes.

The weather is overcast and for a ski day, warm. Walking all of fifty feet to the slope is a dream come true.  On the mountain before 1030.

About lunchtime, Carol gets unexpected visitors.  CJ, Crystina, and Kim. Fortunately there is leftover chili. Those are our skis at the edge of the slope; only one condo between ours and the slope.

 

Flat light and fog drive us indoors in the afternoon. Crystina and Kim enjoy the hot tub.

The ladies walk down the hill to Snowmass Village.

 



The ladies return from a walk back up the mountain huffing and puffing. A beer tasting over chips and salsa results in postponing the planned dinner to another evening.  It's replaced by a cheese and bread course.  Watching the Grammy's completes the evening.
