Everyone wakes late the morning after the party. The evening has been noisy. A tempête (storm) has rolled in and the winds off the Atlantic Ocean disrupt our sleep.
The late beginning suggests a brunch instead of two meals.
It is late in the day before the winds subside and sun breaks out. It has been a horrible day.
In our last phone call with Didier from Australia, CJ asked if he had seen Jacques lately. He had not heard from him in decades but resolved to attempt to contact. It took work but they connected and guess who's coming to dinner. Jacques, once Didier's right-hand man, and corrupter of our dog Shannon and his new partner, Helene come bearing stories of old times.
Jacques remains the gentle giant and cuddly giant of years gone by. It is fantastic to reconnect with him.
CJ where into Didier's lobster preparation and only thought to take a picture of the carcass.
