Murray River Cruise - Mullins Arrival

CJ's back has him up before sunrise. First light over the Murray River is enjoyable.

An Unforgettable boat has an early start up the river.
This fellow appears to live in this small houseboat. He has a car and a dog walking up and down this small spit of land.

Landing one of these houseboats is not the easiest thing. Whitewater is one of the largest boats on the river. It is larger than Outback Star. Randy is pulling more than his weight. He is tying up the boat and setting the brow/gangplank.
We shove off and head upriver to Mannum. We have difficulty locating our docking location at Mannum Reserve. We pass through the ferry crossing. Shortly after, CJ's phone rings. It's Murray. He's worried we missed our mooring. He informs us that he is tied up at Mannum Reserve and we should moor next to him.

Great. CJ must maneuver the boat in properly with Murray watching! On his third pass he succeeds. He's nervous. Murray calls and congratulates him on a mooring well done.

This is a huge boat. The layout is not as comfortable as Outback Star but it is a roomy and comfortable design. On the second deck there is a bar, hot tub, dining table, and furniture for lounging.
There is also a steering station for long cruises in good summer weather when the rest of the crew is partying on this deck.
The stern houses a large swim platform and the two powerful outboard engines.
On the main deck, there is a room off the stern that can be divided into two single bedrooms that must share an ensuite bathroom with one of the guests.
The heads (bathrooms) are reasonably spacious.

There are four bedrooms each with its own ensuite bathroom.
On the bow, there is the navigation console, living room, and kitchen.
In the afternoon, Bronwyn and Neil arrive. This evening the menu calls for raclette.
