We may not get in much skiing this year but on our first attempt, our timing might be superb or disastrous. The second major eastern snowstorm is still roaring across New York and New England and we're sitting in Charlotte waiting a flight to Albany.
Albany is basking in sun and cleared roads. New York roads are clear. Vermont is another situation but still not bad. Dinner consists of duck Condit, fried potatoes in duck fat (yummie!) wine and quality beer. We've lucked out.
